The Team

Richard Wright

Company Director

Independent Financial Advisor

Richard joined the financial services industry in 1986 after serving his time in the Royal Navy, starting out at Confederation Life who were offering the best new intake training in the industry.

After two years Richard left Confederation and set up as broker to enable him to choose the best products on the market place for his clients rather than recommending products for just one company. Richard is still looking after clients today who came along with him all those years ago.

He joined M&E plc and in 1988 following the introduction of the Financial Services Act he became a fully qualified Independent Financial Adviser.

Richard joined VBB in 1999 to head up seminars and retirement courses for the medical and teaching professions.

With the closure of VBB’s teaching division, along with 5 colleagues he helped set up Godfrey Pearson and Partners enjoying 15 successful years.

In 2010 the company merged with The Lighthouse Group and benefited from the existing connections with public service bodies and unions such as Unite and Unison. Lighthouse were bought out by the Quilter group in 2020. Being a Registered individual with the new owners of Lighthouse was a very different proposition than he originally thought so Richard set up The Wright Financial Company Ltd. as a firm providing Independent Financial Advice and directly authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Richard believes in simplicity for his clients and doesn’t blind them with figures, graphs or phrases, just good old fashioned service and care in an understandable language, ensuring every need is looked after with the best professional advice and products on the market.

He prides himself on the service given to all his clientele and is available at any time of day. For Teachers, Doctors, Nurses and other NHS Workers Evening appointments are available.

His ethos is still as it was back in the Confederation Life days - as his growing client base would testify.

Jane Wright

Company Director

Mortgage and Protection Advisor

Jane has been working in financial services in the mortgage and protection business since 2018 after a complete career change in the fitness industry as a personal trainer. She is qualified to an advanced level and is a member of The Society of Mortgage Professionals (SMP).

Jane enjoys meeting clients face to face where possible, as it allows her to build a relationship and trust with them. But she is happy with phone appointments if it suits the client better. She calls herself “a one stop Mortgage shop” the client needs only to find the house of their dreams; Jane will then be on hand from offer to completion to make that dream becomes a reality.

On the protection side ensuring that a family is completely protected in the event of death, illness or disability is of the highest importance as not being properly protected can cause severe financial hardship.

Outside of work, Jane enjoys baking, cinema, travel and of course still enjoys keeping fit, especially running.
